During programming of FSC showing "FSC system memory overflow" error

A customer was trying to copy an FLD in FSC Navigator 602.2 the following message occurs on the FLD Page… “FSC system memory overflow” which means what?

This means that too many symbols of a type are used. If it’s an offline modification, try the following:

Steps:

  1. Set OLM to not or ‘Off’ position.
  2. Perform an offline rebuild with internal address changes.
  3. Try again to copy.
  4. Set OLM back to yes

In this case the blocked memory can be reused again.
