How to disable Task Manger and Windows Explorer. Once it is disables a normal DCS / PLC operator cant access it . Only an administrator can access windows explorer and task manager
Browse to the following location Windows\System32\taskmngr.exe (If you are not able to see System 32, go to folder option and uncheck “Hide protected operating system files” ) Right click on it. Go to Security Tab Select the user you want to deny the access. Click on edit. Select Deny for full control.
For denying access to Windows Explorer Browse to following location and repeat the steps Windows\System32\explorer.exe
For denying access to Internet Explorer Browse to following location and repeat the steps Windows\System32\iexplorer.exe
