Does anyone knows how to connect the wireless pressure transmitter with the PLC?

Siemens P280 pressure transmitter(s) communicates to a IE/WSN-PA LINK (gateway which is connected to the PLC) via WirelessHART fieldbus. So, your inbuilt HMI PLC must have Ethernet capability for connection to this gateway.

Your wireless transmitter’s thumb(antenna) should be talking to the gateway. This gateway communicates to PLC via Ethernet/ MODBUS.

  1. Transmitter to be HART 7.0 for wireless or any other propitiatory standard.
  2. Generally a single gateway can take upto 100 wireless devices.
  3. If you have many devices in the field on wireless, generally MESH topology is formed and will communicate to your gateway without the need for range extender.
